Equal opportunity at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences

This section highlights initiatives designed to embed equal opportunity as a core value at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da). A key part of this commitment—and of strengthening the role of the Equal Opportunity Office—is creating an accessible online presence. The Office is currently developing its own website to make information and projects available to everyone interested.

All h_da staff and students are also encouraged to launch their own equal opportunity projects. Funding is available through the Gender Justice! ideas competition and for smaller research projects focused on equality. To support these efforts, the Equal Opportunity Monitor provides up-to-date data on gender distribution at h_da, helping to ensure that projects are targeted and effective. The Monitor offers clear insights into current gender statistics across the University. Additionally, workshops are open to all University members, offering a forum for exploring questions in gender research and fostering meaningful discussions about gender justice. These activities underscore the University’s dedication to promoting equal opportunity in a tangible and impactful way.
