The Gender Justice! ideas competition
Support equal opportunity projects!
Target group: Members of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences
The latest figures from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences’ Equal Opportunity Monitor, which covering students, professors and staff, highlight the ongoing need for action to advance gender equality. In response, the Gender Justice! ideas competition invites proposals for a wide range of projects aimed at promoting equality across the university. The competition provides six months of funding for innovative initiatives that help foster gender justice, with the ultimate goal of embedding equal opportunity as a lasting principle at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
You can find the winners and funded projects here.
Participation: Applications were accepted from all members of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences who wanted to initiate innovative projects to promote gender equality. Smaller research projects on the topic were also able to be funded. To apply, a project outline had to be submitted to Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences’ Equal Opportunity Office. The project outline had to be five pages or less and include the following information: Description and justification of the project; project objectives; description of methods; work packages, timeline and funding plan; and expected results. The criteria for selecting the ideas to be funded were the project’s feasibility and sustainability. Starting in 2022, the call for applications was put out every six months.
